Back on the Saddle Again (Laid Off Day 40)

May 01, 2023 by Ryan Mercer in YouTube

(Verse 1)

I've been laid off for forty days now,

Searching for work, I'm not sure how,

But I keep on trying, keep on smiling,

Even when the road gets rough and tiring.

(Chorus)

I'm back on the saddle again,

Pedaling hard, my spirit won't bend,

Facing the challenges, one by one,

I'll keep on going, till the job is done.

(Verse 2)

Gave a talk at church, it felt so right,

To share my journey, my daily fight,

Waiting for friends, and opportunities,

To get back on track and live life with ease.

(Chorus)

I'm back on the saddle again,

Pedaling hard, my spirit won't bend,

Facing the challenges, one by one,

I'll keep on going, till the job is done.

(Bridge)

I know I'll find my way,

Through this storm, come what may,

With my BikeErg by my side,

I'll ride the waves, and take them in stride.

(Verse 3)

So I'll keep on applying, and hold my head high,

For I know that someday, I'll touch the sky,

With the love and support of friends and kin,

I'll be back on the saddle, ready to win.

(Chorus)

I'm back on the saddle again,

Pedaling hard, my spirit won't bend,

Facing the challenges, one by one,

I'll keep on going, till the job is done.

(Outro)

And as the sun sets in the west,

I'll know I've given my very best,

With every pedal, every stride,

Back on the saddle, I'll ride and ride.
