"Nearly 15 percent of the world's Internet traffic -- including data from the Pentagon, the office of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and other U.S. government websites -- was briefly redirected through computer networks in China last April, according to a congressional commission report obtained by FoxNews.com.
It was not immediately clear whether the incident was deliberate, but the April 18 redirection could have enabled malicious activities and potentially caused an unintended "diversion of data" from many U.S. government, military and commercial websites, the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission states in a 316-page report to Congress.
A draft copy of the report was obtained on Tuesday by FoxNews.com. The final 2010 annual report to Congress will be released during a press conference in Washington on Wednesday.

What?!?! Absurd! Are they too lazy to figure it out themselves, or maybe get up and get a player's guide or go online?

"Worried that today's kids are getting lazy? Well brace yourself: Nintendo's new video games can play themselves. Just what is the world coming to?
In a move to help struggling gamers negotiate tricky parts of a game, Nintendo has started releasing games with a built-in auto-pilot mode. You'll be able to "play" the latest game -- Donkey Kong Country Returns -- when it is released for the Wii on Sunday.
Although the so-called "Super Guide" feature is optional and only accessible after multiple failed attempts, it was met with jeers and eye rolls by gamers when it was first announced. But Nintendo says any concerns are blown out of proportion. Spokesman Kit Ellis told FoxNews.com that the new mode is similar to the numerous cheat codes, online game FAQs, and YouTube walk-throughs that frustrated gamers already consult. " See the rest HERE
Woo-hoo! I love when they make finds like this... even though I think they are flat out wrong most of the time when they piece these fossils back together... sure the mammoths/mastadons are right but the rest... I'm not so sure about.
"An accidental discovery by a bulldozer driver has led to what may be the find of the century: an ice-age burial ground that could rival the famed La Brea tar pits.
After two weeks of excavating ancient fossils at the Ziegler Reservoir near Snowmass Village, Colorado, scientists from the Denver Museum of Natural Science returned home Wednesday with their unearthed treasures in tow -- a wide array of fossils, insects and plant life that they say give a stunningly realistic view of what life was like when ancient, giant beasts lumbered across the Earth.
Since the team’s arrival in mid-October, scientists have extracted nearly 600 bones from about 20 different animals from the Pleistocene era, a period of time during the Ice Age. The remains of up to six different species have been exhumed, including five American mastodons, three Ice Age bison, a Jefferson’s ground sloth, a mule deer, a tiger salamander, and two Columbian mammoths." Hrmm... the NRO is up to it again... too bad this isn't the largest sattelite... perhaps the largest launched with rocketry, but by no means is this the largest object a government has put in space. They have all sorts of things up there that 99.999999999999% of the world doesn't even know about and never will
"CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida -- The Air Force has launched a new classified spy satellite. An un-manned Delta 4-Heavy rocket blasted off From Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Sunday at 5:58 p.m. It carried a satellite that was described in a news release from the National Reconnaissance Office as "the largest satellite in the world." Nice. Heh, not that it'll make any difference in the stupidity of the oppresive Chi-com government though
""Dear Chinese Government," began a message sent late Thursday from Twitter CEO Dick Costolo.
"Year-long detentions for sending a sarcastic tweet are neither the way forward nor the future of your great people," he wrote on his Twitter profile.
Costolo's edict is no doubt a response to the Chinese woman who had been sentenced to a year in a labor camp for retweeting a message that officials in China disapproved of. The tweet mocked Chinese people who were aligning with the Chinese government by protesting Japanese products."

Something tells me these people weren't "hikers" but were working for the government as spooks/spec-ops or as contractors.... what U.S. Citizen in their right mind wakes up and goes "Gee, lets go hiking in Iran today"

"
A trial for two American hikers held in Iran has been postponed until February 6, their attorney, Masoud Shafii, said Sunday.
The reason for the delay was the absence of Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer at the initial trial date of November 6, Shafii said he was told. The court told him the two were summoned to court but did not show up, he said.
Shafii said that makes no sense, because the two are in government custody, and it's the government's responsibility to bring them to court.
"I am upset, but my hands are tied," he said. "I can't do anything. I've read their case file, and I found no reason for them to be charged with a crime, so even one more day in prison is not justified."" See the rest HERE
