I have always been fascinated by megalithic sites like Stonehenge so I decided to see what DALL-E 2 might create given the following query “A megalithic site next to a stream”. The vegetation and the rocks do look a bit… “fuzzy” but overall I was satisfied with the results.

I fed OpenAI's DALL-E 2 the following prompt "A Viking shieldmaiden made from needle felting" and it generated these images digitally. I will NEVER trust photos of people's crafts again, I will only trust crafts I can hold in my hands. These are 100% computer-generated images:

I like Vikings (real and caricature versions of them). I like pizza. I gave OpenAI’s DALL-E 2 the task of creating wood carvings of Vikings eating pizza with the following query “A wood carving depicting vikings eating pizza” and the results were AMAZING. It just blows my mind that these aren’t real, that software made completely created these images in seconds:

While I don’t necessarily get “ancient” out of these images, if you showed these to me I would just believe they were real photos of shipwrecks. These artificial images were created by OpenAI’s DALL-E 2 with the following query “Photo of an ancient shipwreck on the ocean floor”:

Finding ancient ruins really fascinating, as well as the woods, I decided to have DALL-E 2 tackle something along these lines. Here is what the query “A mossy sculpture in the woods depicting a human face” generated:

I had the image of David the gnome riding a fox in my head and thought I’d task DALL-E 2 with something along those lines so I gave it the query “A photograph of a gnome riding a fox by a creek” and, well, what we got were essentially garden gnomes with scaled down foxes, still cool though!

A co-moderator of a discord I am on has been in Germany on a work trip, he’s been sharing with us all the gummies he has been eating and how he has 22lbs of them he is bringing back to the United States when he leaves tomorrow. In the discord chat someone joked that he’d eat them all before his submarine docked so I gave DALL-E 2 the prompt “A German submarine made out of gummies” and some look like artificial baits.
